Super Bowl Sunday!

Well friends, it’s Super Bowl Sunday with the Eagles playing the Chiefs. And like many, I will be watching the big game. Athletes vie for the top honor in their sport; in this case, it is for the coveted Super Bowl ring. The Bible talks about athletes and how important their dedication and endurance in running the race is to their success. It’s the same for you and me as believers: You know that many runners enter a race, and only one of them wins the prize. So run to win! Athletes work hard to win a crown that cannot last, but we do it for a crown that will last forever” (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 CEV).

Why Is Your Faith Not Working?

Ever wonder why your faith doesn’t seem to be working? You believe God’s Word and all of His wonderful promises in your heart, not just your head, and you’re careful to speak only positive words that agree with what you’re believing for from God. So, what’s the problem? Check your love walk!  Unforgiveness, strife and selfishness will hinder your faith.

So will the traditions of man and the trappings of “religion” that is void of an intimate, growing relationship with Jesus. Here is how The Passion Translation puts it: “When you’re joined to the Anointed One, circumcision and religious obligations can benefit you nothing. All that matters now is living in the faith that works and expresses itself through love” (Galatians 5:6).
